solo vocal/piano concerts
Doug Alt
Each concert features a mixture of piano and vocal selections.
My piano repertoire is based in the classics, with substantial forays into the styles of jazz and popular pianists such as Dave Brubeck, Frankie Carle, Eddie Duchin, Liberace and Roger Williams. Novelty pieces occasionally appear.
As a vocalist, I do a creditable job emulating the styles of singers such as Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Brook Benton, Perry Como, Billy Joel, Tony Williams (The Platters), Josh Grobin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Elvis.
