Music Background

I am a Keyboard  & Vocal Artist with a wide range of musical background and interests.

My early formal piano training was based in the classics, with substantial forays into the styles of jazz and popular pianists such as Dave Brubeck, Frankie Carle, Eddie Duchin, Liberace and Roger Williams. I majored in piano at Westminster Choir College. As an accompanist, I traveled with the Springfield College Gymnastics Exhibition Team on tours throughout the Eastern U.S. In recent years, I have performed in restaurants and nightclubs in New Jersey, Vermont, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

During an early period when I was immersed full-time in rock and roll, I recorded under contract to Shelby S. Singleton Records as the bass player in "The Rusty Chain" band.

I have sung in the tenor sections of distinguished choral groups such as the Shrewsbury (NJ) Chorale, the Monmouth (NJ) Civic Chorus, and the Springfield (MA) Symphony Chorus.

Now, as a solo vocalist, I enjoy emulating the styles of singers such as Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Brook Benton, Perry Como, Billy Joel, Tony Williams (Platters), Josh Grobin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, and Elvis Presley.

My current concentration is on doing Solo Vocal/Piano Concerts and producing Special Events.

I also provide live music for Banquets and Parties, where I am occasionally able to “let my hair down” (what little there is left of it...) by mixing rock and roll and upbeat styles of dance music in with the other, normally  “classy”, portions of my repertoire.

My portable sound equipment includes state-of-the-art electronics which enable me to provide Disc Jockey capability for certain events.
